David Pogue of The New York Times recently wrote a column on online etiquette, and in the column he raises important issues we need to be aware of as we become engaged with our students in online activites. We are endorsing/promoting their use of online communication when we involve them in blogging, and this is a good thing (they're doing it on their own anyway) because it gives us an opportunity to influence and shape their online activity.
